Chef Angie Needels attended the Natural Chef program in Berkeley and graduated in August of 2008. Having been a creative person all her life, she found herself at a crossroads after moving to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2006 between continuing her studies as a fine artist or giving into the passion she’d been finding in fresh, organic foods. Discovering Bauman College made that decision very easy, so she enrolled.

Since graduating, Chef Angie has started A Sensational Creation, a personal chef service catering primarily to pre/postnatal women and early childhood nutrition in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has also teamed up with Chef Dara Crawford, another graduate of the Natural Chef program at Bauman College, to create Stock Traditional Foods.

Stock Traditional Foods operates on the notion that good food takes time. Everything is prepared the traditional old-fashioned way, so that the most nutrition and favor can be extracted from all foods. Everything is made fresh, from scratch, using seasonal ingredients from local farms and ranches. Grains, nuts, and beans are soaked and sprouted so that they are easier to digest and more nutritious. Raw milk and raw milk cheeses, whose nutrients haven’t been destroyed by pasteurization, are used. Fermented foods (sauerkraut, kimchi, etc) are made from scratch so that they are full of healthy probiotics that boost the immune system.

Everyone should be able to enjoy a meal together with family and friends. However, this can be difficult if someone at the table has a food allergy or sensitivity. Being certified therapeutic natural chefs, Chefs Angie and Dara create their menus so that there is something for everyone regardless of dietary restrictions.

Stock Traditional Foods is currently a menu-based delivery system where customers can order and have their delicious and nutritious foods delivered to their doors. The goal is to also open a retail location in San Francisco where anyone can pick up favorite traditional foods any time, providing the choice of stopping in for take-out or having meals delivered.
