“Bauman College gave me the knowledge and skills to work with different clients on their nutrition and to feel confident about cooking them foods that will change their lives.


The Natural Chef training that I received from Bauman College prepared me to do exactly what I am doing today…being a personal natural chef working with whole foods to assist clients in healing from illnesses. My business, The Healing Hearth, serves clientele in the East Bay, Marin, and San Francisco, CA. I am a Natural Chef working with whole foods to assist in healing, concentrating on eliminating certain foods from one’s diet or adding foods to support health.

Bauman college gave me the knowledge and skills to work with different clients on their nutrition and to feel confident about cooking them foods that will change their lives. The therapeutic classes taught me what to cook, nutrition classes taught me how to work with clients’ diets, hands-on cooking taught me to be a better cook, and the business classes taught me my next steps on how to set up a business. I learned how to prepare alternative foods when certain foods are not allowed in the diet, nutrition an dhow it pertains to cooking, and how to meet a client where they are at, starting at a place that will start to assist them in healing.

One of my clients was a fast food junkie before I started cooking for them. After eating a diet of whole foods for about a month, they started to recognize that their body felt better when they ate at home with the food I cooked and when they ate at a fast food restaurant, their body did not feel right and they were not able to have the same energy. I love to cook, but I am also really enjoying getting to know my clients and watching the progress they make as they proceed on their healing journeys.
