Bauman College has four locations in the western United States. Our three California locations are in the greater San Francisco Bay Area: Berkeley, Sonoma County, and Santa Cruz. Our fourth location is in the beautiful city of Boulder, CO. For those unable to attend our classroom locations, we also offer our Nutrition Consultant Training Program through Distance Learning.

Bauman College Berkeley

Berkeley is a picturesque, academic-minded, and welcoming city, located just across the bay from San Francisco. It is world-renowned for its liberal mentality, its passionate activism, and its leadership in the American food-revolution. Berkeley is also where the local-seasonal-organic focused “Cali-Cuisine” was concepted and developed.

We have recently moved our Berkeley location into a newly renovated historic building. This new facility is complete with huge commercial kitchens outfitted with top-of-the-line restaurant quality equipment and spacious nutrition classrooms. Thirty foot ceilings and diamond-shaped glass block walls provide a spacious, open-air ambiance that invites creative expression and optimal learning.

In addition to the city of Berkeley itself, downtown San Francisco is easily accessible by public transport and both provide limitless access to cultural opportunities, delicious food, an array of ethnic food markets, and more.

Directions from the North and South: From I-580/ I-80 in either direction, take the University Avenue exit and head east. The school is located at 1007 University Avenue, between 9th and 10th Street. Free street parking is available in the neighborhoods surrounding the school.

Directions from San Francisco: Take I-80 east over the Bay Bridge and continue on I-80 East towards Berkeley and Sacramento. Take the University Avenue exit and head east. The school is located at 1007 University Avenue, between 9th and 10th Street. Free street parking is available in the neighborhoods surrounding the school.

BART and Bus Directions: Visit www.transit.511.org or call 511 to plan the best route from your location to Bauman College.

The closest BART station to the Berkeley location is the North Berkeley BART station. It's located at Sacramento and Delaware, three blocks north of University Avenue. You may catch the 51B AC Transit bus from the corner of Sacramento and University and it will drop you off at the NE corner of University and 9th. This is approximately a 6 block bus ride. You can plan your exact trip using www.511.org.

Amtrak Directions: Exit the Amtrak station at 3rd and University and walk 6 blocks up University to 1007 University Avenue. The school is located between 9th and 10th Street.

Directions from the north: Take Hwy. 101 to the Petaluma Blvd. North exit and go east (left) over the freeway. Drive approximately two miles to Penngrove. Bauman College is just past Main Street, in the Grove Center on the right side of the road.

Bus Directions: Visit Sonoma County Transit plan the best route from your location to Bauman College. Sonoma County Transit Lines #44 and #48 both run through Penngrove traveling between Santa Rosa and Petaluma.

Bauman College Santa Cruz Directions From the south: Take Hwy. 1 north to 41st Ave. and turn left off the exit. Proceed through all traffic lights. At your first stop sign, turn right onto Portola Dr. Turn into the 2nd driveway on the left. We are located in the Walt Eller Center.

Directions From the Bay Area:From 680 South, take Hwy 17 to Santa Cruz. Merge onto Hwy. 1 south and take the 41st Ave. exit. Turn right and proceed through all traffic lights. At the first stop sign, turn right onto Portola Dr. Turn into the 2nd driveway on the left. We are located in the Walt Eller Center.

Bus Directions: Santa Cruz Metropolitan Transit District bus #67 has service to 41st and Portola. Buses #65 and #66 service 38th and Portola.

Set at the base of the front range of the awe-inspiring Rocky Mountains with incredible views of the surrounding snow-capped mountains, you couldn’t design a more picturesque mountain setting for our Boulder location.

The city of Boulder sits 5,430 feet above sea level, surrounded by a greenbelt of city trails and open spaces, and acts as the doorway to a limitless number of opportunities for outdoor activities. Coupling an athletic, health-conscious outlook with a firm dedication to quality cuisine and artisanal food production, Bauman College’s Boulder location is a great place to hone your nutrition and culinary skills.

Just 35 miles northwest of Denver and within a few hours drive of several world-class ski towns, our Boulder location is easily accessible and is an ideal place to live.

Bauman College Boulder Directions From the south(Hwy 36/Denver): As you get into Boulder, Highway 36 (the Boulder/Denver Turnpike) turns into 28th Street. Take 28th to Canyon and make a left. Make a right at Broadway. Go through Walnut Street and make a left at Spruce Street. Immediately on the right is a small, metered parking lot. The entrance to the school is just across this lot (north), in the community center of the First Congregational Church. The entrance faces south.

Directions From the south (Golden): Take Hwy 93 north towards Boulder. Once you get into South Boulder, 93 turns into South Broadway. Stay on Broadway into town, through Arapahoe, Canyon and Walnut Streets. Make a left on Spruce Street. Immediately on the right is a small, metered parking lot. The entrance to the school is just across this lot (north), in the community center of the First Congregational Church. The entrance faces south.

Directions from the north (Lyons, Hygiene):
Take Highway 93 to the North Broadway exit. Take Broadway into Boulder. Make a right on Spruce Street. Immediately on the right is a small, metered parking lot. Directions from the east: From Foothills Parkway, take the Arapahoe exit west (toward the mountains). Follow Arapahoe all the way to Broadway; make a right on Broadway.
