There are several options for funding your education here at Bauman College. Check the sites below to find just some of the many grants and scholarships our past graduates have used.

Our Financial Aid Department is here to help you. Start by reviewing the opportunities provided below. Then call our Financial Aid Department at 800-987-7530. Our Financial Aid Advisor is well versed in many funding opportunities and can advise you on how best to fund your education.



Funding Resources

  • Jewish Vocational Scholarship The Jewish Vocational Scholarship Committee awards grants to Jewish residents of San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma County, and the Peninsula for vocational training.
  • WIA (Workforce Investment Act) Dislocated worker funds provide rapid response services to workers affected by plant closures and layoffs, industry retraining, and readjustment services. Self employed individuals and displaced homemakers may also qualify for these services. Bauman College is an eligible training provider in CA and CO.
  • TAA (Trade Adjustment Assistance) If you have lost employment or had your work hours reduced as a result of international trade (your job being outsourced) you may be eligible for funding through Trade Adjustment Assistance. Bauman College is an eligible training provider in CA and CO.
  • GI Bill Bauman College is approved to train veterans and other eligible persons. The GI Bill Website lists all Educational Benefits provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs including the Post 9/11 GI Bill.  
  • MyCAA program This program supports the educational pursuits of military spouses.
  • California Adolescent Nutrition and Fitness (CANFit) Program The mission of the CANFit Program is to engage communities and build their capacity to improve the nutritional status and physical fitness of California's low-income, multi-ethnic youth 10-14 years of age. Scholarships are available for African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian/Pacific Islander, and Latino/Hispanic students expressing financial need to study culinary arts in the state of California.   • 10,000 Degrees (formerly the Marin Education Fund) Marin County Residents may be eligible for a scholarship through 10,000 Degrees. Please call 415-459-4240 to inquire.
  • Individual Development Account (IDA) Individual Development Accounts (IDAs) are special savings accounts that match the deposits of low and moderate income people. Savers use their savings for an asset-building purpose, such as post-secondary education or job training.
  • Worker’s Compensation
  • Vocational Rehabilitation Services
  • Women's Opportunity Awards program  Since 1972, Soroptimist has been helping women to reclaim their dreams. This program provides cash grants to women who are working to better their lives through additional skills training and education.  Application deadline: December 1 of every year.
  • Silicon Valley Community Foundation This program administers a variety of grant programs with the majority of the awards designated for residents of San Mateo County and Santa Clara County.

Scholarship Publications

  • Each year agencies and authors publish guides detailing all sorts of grants and scholarshipsavailable to individuals based on a myriad of qualifications. Go to your local library and ask the reference librarian to show you the relevant books. Focus on grants for vocational schools that do not have to be “title 4” for eligibility. Some available books on the subject are:

Bauman College is a vocational technical school, licensed by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education.  Bauman College is not eligible for federal financial aid that requires a "title 4" status. Prospective students should search for monies applicable to "vocational technical school" training programs.
